I'm glad I've never had to reconcile being a Smiths fan with the pure racism of Morrissey cause I always thought Morrissey was a total asshole whose singing and lyrical style wasn't really my taste, so I never really liked more than a handful of Smiths or solo songs from him.

I do feel bad for Johnny Marr though cause he's a better guitarist than Morrissey is frontman.

Elegantly Wasted

The 10th album from INXS is released on April 4, 1997 .. the last with Michael Hutchence at the helm. He'd pass away 6 months later. The album is a blend of alt rock, pop rock and grunge with a funky tinge reminiscent to their Kick album 10 years earlier. I somehow missed that our local community college has branded itself "Cape Cod's Classic Alternative" and - at least for some parts of the day - rocks the best of 80s college rock. It's like WFNX, Boston's legendary, long lamented alt rock radio station.
