Alright, new machete is here. Gonna go out and try it right now.

Really curious how this compares to the one I already have. There's been some stuff where I definitely would've wanted a longer blade and/or a long enough handle to be able to use it with both hands. This looks like it should fit both criteria. Also, since I use an electric sharpener, it'll probably be easier to sharpen because the cutting edge is completely straight. They're saying it should be here Friday, and I'm hoping it's like last time and it gets here way earlier than they said, obviously.

It would be awesome if you made the sheath MOLLE compatible, by design.
A lot of people who already buy your stuff, including me, have MOLLE on backpacks or whatever else. Personally, I would love it if the sheath for this thing could just attach to my backpack, properly, without requiring anything fancy on my part. Obviously, I'm not suggesting you get rid of the belt loop; that's expected. Also, I've actually never carried it on my belt, and tbh, I likely never will. There's no reason I can think of, why they would be mutually exclusive, though, anyway; it also looks like you have room for it here.
P.S. I couldn't find any account on the Fediverse claiming any affiliation with Cold Steel; if I had, I would've pinged them here.
Man, I love this thing.
Cold Steel machete; definitely not new out of the box anymore, as you can see. Intentionally let it get so dull I couldn't stand it, and then put my own edge on it. I like it even more now that the stock hollow grind is gone, which is always a good sign; that means that it was not performing well purely on the basis of it still being razor sharp from the factory, and that it's actually well balanced, and whatnot.
Update.
I must say, I am very impressed.
So far, at least, it's well outperforming whatever I would've expected out of a $36.99 mass-produced machete.
