I had an excellent, maybe final, session of #ColdCityRPG , playtesting the 2nd edition. Lots of horror, intrigue and violence, ending with one PC pointing a flamethrower at another PC's love interest, who then had a gun on the first PC while the third tried to talk them both down. An artistic pan away to orchestral sounds left us on a cliffhanger. #ttrpg
Two sessions into the #ColdCityRPG playtest, with hopefully the third to come this friday, and I've been writing up the Situation to organise my thoughts on it. I'll share it once we get to the end so that my players can avoid spoliers! #ttrpg
Played the second session of #ColdCityRPG last night, after a last minute scehdule change allowed us all to reconvene at short notice. Our third player got to join us and played catch-up well enough that we could get on with the game. 🧡
Had my first session of #ColdCityRPG 2nd Edition tonight, though only two players could make it. We pressed on through Situation & Character Creation anyway and had a fantastic time! #ttrpg
Cold City and Hot War: an introduction Part One

Digging into the #ColdCityRPG Dossier to find the connections with a view of getting it to the table sometime in the new year. Using #scapple to map the connections.

The Cold City Dossier is a found evidence style module; full of fake documents, its for the GM to pull together the scenario. It can be seen as a precursor to game material like The Armitage Files, Absinthe in Carcosa and the Dracula Dossier. I'm fortunate in having a hardcopy as well as the electronic files.

As there's a little buzz around #ColdCityRPG and #HotWarRPG I should mention that I've run two iterations of a campaign using the Hot War rules but set in London after the events of "The War of the Worlds" in 189X.

It's immensely good fun and just a shade lighter than the original Hot War setting.
