When people talk about "Stockholm Syndrom" (which isn't a thing), what they are really talking about is cognitive dissonance. It is the converse of sour grapes: instead of you thinking something is bad because you initially thought it was good but you can't get it, the converse is that you start thinking something is good, because you initially thought it was bad, but you can't avoid it.
