Fun Fact: #DankStadtücherei kann ich derzeit erneute Versuche unternehmen, mir »Blood Simple« (1984), den Debüt-Film der #CoenBrothers anzuschauen. Versuche das seit über 30 Jahren und finde nicht rein in den Streifen.

Mein erster Film der beiden war damals ohne jegliche Vorkenntnisse »Barton Fink« (1991) im Englisch Cinema zu Wien. Liebe den bis heute sehr, … natürlich vor allem wegen den Rufen der Fischhändler.

Re-watching the #CoenBrothers 1996 movie Fargo as I do every few years. Such a good film, beautifully composed & structured, with outstanding cast performances.

barton fink (1991) - coen

having watched like 90% of the coen brothers movies, this really combined noir elements from miller's crossing and some of the absurdist elements of oh, raising arizona....it was a difficult watch for me because it was lacking a lot of humor even though its considered a "black comedy".

best neo-noir by the coens is obvs the big lewbowski....
