Geonovum en gemeente Rotterdam haalden de OGC Code Sprint naar Nederland. Van 20 tot 22 oktober werkten internationale experts en developers samen aan de OGC API standaarden in Rotterdam.

Het resultaat? Een geüpdate Standards Checker, DCAT-AP-NL binding voor OGC API Records, en een werkende OGC API Joins implementatie.

Verslag OGC code sprint Rotterdam | developer.overheid.nl

Het Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) is een internationale standaardenorganisatie. Hier komen onder andere de OGC API standaarden vandaan: gestandaardiseerde REST APIs die ervoor zorgen dat geodata op een universele manier geserveerd en gebruikt kan worden. Regelmatig organiseert het OGC code sprints: hackathons van drie dagen waar standaarden-experts en ontwikkelaars de OGC standaarden implementeren in software. De OGC standaarden die geimplementeerd worden zijn dan meestal nog in draft; wel stabiel, maar nog niet officieel goedgekeurd. Op basis van de feedback van ontwikkelaars kunnen OGC standaarden-experts meteen de standaarden verbeteren en aanvullen. Zo wordt het ontwikkelen van standaarden net iets meer agile.

Eurosprint Highlight: Ben from the CiviCRM Core Team showcased the long awaited feature: FormBuilder Payments! He's made big progress on support for Stripe and PayPal, though the underlying work should apply to other payment processors as well. Still work to be done, but we're getting there!
