More than 3,300 people are homeless in the Houston area in 2025, according to newly released figures
During the annual point-in-time count by the Coalition for the Homeless, nearly 1,300 people slept on Houston-area streets and more than 2,000 stayed in shelters. The figure marks a slight increase from 2024, when just under 3,300 people were counted as homeless.
