Good morning.

"For many people (in Pakistan), the (climate) crisis is no longer a warning about the future. It is already reshaping everyday life — turning extreme heat into a persistent struggle for survival."

Life in #climatecollapse = constant "struggle for survival".

‘It’s no longer exceptional’: Karachi struggles under brutal new reality of extreme heat

In case you missed our latest climate science briefing, check out the recording from yesterday: https://youtube.com/watch?v=rNYSgGkN0r8 After overviewing the latest global statistics, we did a deep dive on the newest data around current drought conditions and the growing likelihood of a strong El Niño.

FediScience.org
7 to 16% of plant species from a list of 60,000 will be at high extinction risk by 2100 across emissions scenarios. Most of these losses (70 to 80%) result from climate-induced habitat loss, according to a model of climate dependent distribution patterns.

Wrangling with people to accept reality these days feels like talking to a violent alcoholic about their ongoing drinking problem.

We got left behind in the minerals race because the first #trump administration let #china run the table. More #maga meant tripling down on old energy, we are left in a hole being a #petrostate in an #electrostate world and Trump won’t stop digging

The “age of electricity” is upon us

As war in Iran upends fuel markets, two new reports confirm that 2025 was a banner year for renewables.

@PBSNewsHour @politics-PBSNewsHour rather pales to #jan6 though, doesn’t it? He got nowhere near the regime.

Something tells me this guy will stay in prison and the #epstein class will sleep soundly in their mansions, #genocide will continue, j6ers will beat their wives and kids, we will speed closer to #climatecollapse and the #trump crime family will get richer #mayday #generalstrike

Gonna go out on a limb and make a prediction here.

#ClimateCollapse is already upon us, albeit unevenly distributed. But there's an outside chance that this year or next shit really hits the fan.

People are currently talking about tipping points at 2050 and that's all very well but we've already passed a few tipping points and were already at +1.5C. With the current supply shocks due to the #EpsteinWar, we could see widespread disruption to aerosol pollution from both shipping and industrial sources. If that goes on for more than a few months, the temporary cooling that caused by that pollution disappears, and we get another approx 1.5C permanent heating within the year. Then we're at or around +3C and governments around the world will topple
