One of the three ancient Clava Cairns that stand in a line five miles east of Inverness. Dating back some 4,000 years, they are less well known than their near neighbour Culloden battlefield, but every bit as evocative. The entrance passage to the south west chambered cairn at the Clava Cairns, near Culloden in the Scottish Highlands. Part of a wonderful Bronze Age cemetery, the cairn was built in around 2000 BC. 📸 My own. #TombTuesday #ClavaCairns #Prehistory #Highlands
