Clathrin-mediated endocytosis (CME) is one of the main trafficking processes, but the mechanism that initiates CME sites remain unclear. These authors show that yeast CALM/AP180 and FCHo1/2 adaptor proteins interact with Eps15 to promote CME initiation.
