to quote:

Part 1 of my new mix series "Classic Mixes on Classic Gear". We will be mixing on classic favorite mixers from back in the day. This Mix features the GLI PMX 9000 Mixer, Technics 1210 Turntables, and some wax from my favorite era of Detroit Dance Music.

There was something really special about those early tracks that came out on Express, Incognito, Metroplex, Transmat, and KMS. I had owned "No UFOs, X-RAY, and Nude Photo for months before knowing that they were made in my Native Detroit. Finding out this music was made in my Native Detroit by people who rode the same city busses I rode, went to the same record stores I went to (shout out to my Top 3 - Buyrite, Chaunceys & Professionals (7-6-7 (ask if you don't know), and looked like me, gave me a deeper love for this music and a passion to want to do this forever. Though I'm not playing in Ibiza, here I am, almost 40 years later, still mixing, strictly for the love of the music and the city.

The mixes in this series represent the tracks and equipment that would influence my love for DJ Culture and my DJ workflow for the rest of my life. I hope you enjoy this series. If you do, like, share, and subscribe...if you don't, let's talk about it. PEACE - ONE LOVE!
