Auch wenn ich sonst fast nur noch Spiele mit wenig bis gar keinem Glücksfaktor spiele, war es heute sehr nett, etwas einfaches mit kurzer (90min) Spieldauer bei paar Bier zu zocken. Ich hinterfrage ja auch immer den Sammlungsstatus, aber Klong bleibt.

Mr CreosoteThe original #Clank board/deck building game remains played very frequently in our house. Before it goes out of print, we bought the "Catacombs" variant. Played four times so far. Even though many cards are just "reskins", it plays differently. We're playing much more carefully exploring the unknown board. It's adventurous. Possible "bug": once everyone else escaped, the last player can pretty much go on forever. Alone, they can control the risks and dangers too well.

Tonight on the #Clank #boardgame, my daughter made a really smart decision of getting a seemingly bad card, making a lot of harmful noise. But she knew she had numerous other cards which would counter this, thus reaping the also significant benefits without the costs. She won. I'm very proud.
#Clank is labelled as age 14+. My eight-year-old plays it fine. It is just apparent that we are very different player types. I'm an optimizer, trying to find the shortest paths for most treasure, playing the rules to my advantage to win. She's a roleplayer, wanting to have an adventure together. Not caring so much about winning, but about the experience itself. A strategy like "dive down, grab cheap treasure, get out and let the others die" would not be welcomed by her. I adapt happily.
