🚌⚡🇭🇰 #UK bus manufacturer Wrightbus has secured its first global order for the new 6x2 StreetDeck Electroliner double-decker, with #HongKong operator #Citybus ordering 20 vehicles in a deal worth £7m. The zero-emission buses, due for delivery in 2027, will be built at Wrightbus’s #Malaysia facility to support its expanding Asia Pacific operations. The 12-metre buses seat 82 passengers, carry up to 130 people and have a range of up to 300km. Wrightbus said the order marks a major milestone as it expands internationally following the success of the StreetDeck in the UK. Citybus selected the company through an open tender process assessing technical capability and value. Wrightbus employs more than 2,300 people across Northern #Ireland, #Germany and Malaysia.

All sustainable cities need integrated, adequate and affordable public transportation. Even though at the time I posted this post there were only two bus routes, that is quite a progress because previously this city does not have good public transportation at all.

This bus system is a collaboration between the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation and the Government of Manado City. It was launched on 19 November, 2026. There wouldn't be this service if the mayor of this city at that time wasn't smart and I thanked him personally for this.
