WP10 Archives - respond

WP10 explores how citizens engage in anti-corruption actions, particularly in digital societies, and its impact on democracy. The research investigates why and how citizens and governments participate in political activities to counter corruption at both national and transnational levels, focusing on the role of digital technologies. It examines how emerging and existing technologies, such as AI-based tools and digital platforms, foster transparency, integrity, and accountability, while also exploring the broader implications of these technologies on democratic participation. The project includes mapping grassroots anti-corruption initiatives, analyzing citizens’ perceptions of democracy, and studying open government platforms. It also assesses the impact of advanced technologies like AI and participatory platforms on anti-corruption efforts and democratic values. Ultimately, the work package aims to co-create guidelines for using digital tools to enhance democracy through a two-day workshop involving key stakeholders.
