youtu.be/eo9iKHhcZuQ I didn't realize this but a ton of things make sense. If your #food was bought up by a #cigarette company, The food is closer, health-wise to a cigarette than actual food. They are using all the same playbooks for ultra processed foods as they did for #tobacco, lead and #climatechange , by sowing doubt about #science. If you feel for any of these, they are very effective campaigns built on the exact same lies. Don't believe in climate change? Its because they used their campaign to make you doubt science and scientist, all using the same PR company to lie to your face, and you thank them for it never knowing they exist. If you see a food study going back forth about its good or its bad, most often "its good" is being funded by a giant corporation to get good publicity because most news outlets are scientifically illiterate.

As I continue working through Rod Serling's #TwilightZone, I have two more observations:

1. The #cigarette smoking. Growing up in the 70s and 80s, cigarette smoking was more prevalent than it is now, but I don't remember it being like this. If the episodes are a proper reflection of the 60s, then it's a wonder we didn't die out by my birth.

2. I continue to see its influence in media from every decade I've lived, but next up is S4, Ep12 (3/21/1963), "I Dream of Genie." That's a bit much.

I got this cute little chibi comm of this person's OCs! I just absolutely love their style and character design, so this was a really fun one to work on! I don't think I've done much with people smoking, so trying to figure out how to draw the smoke was a fun challenge!
