My name is Jaber Abu Samhan, I am 26 years old, from Khan Younis – Bani Suheila. I am writing these words while living through one of the most painful times in my life, after losing everything due to the ongoing war and years of siege.I am a father to my 4-year-old son, Mohammad, who suffers from anemia and malnutrition. My wife is four months pregnant and is also suffering from malnutrition, urgently needing proper healthcare that I cannot provide.Since the war began, my family and I have been displaced 14 times. Each time, we lost more safety and hope. In the end, I lost my home completely—a four-story house—and many members of my family. We have nothing left to return to.I used to work as a barber, and it was my only source of income. Now, I have lost my job and all my belongings. Today, we live in a worn-out tent that offers no protection. Even rodents share this space with us, and the environment is unsafe and unhealthy, especially for my child and pregnant wife.I am also responsible for caring for my elderly parents and my sister, but I cannot provide food or medicine for them. Every day feels heavy, especially when my child asks for food and I have nothing to give.Any contribution, no matter how small, can make a real difference in our lives.
