1) Pass legislation in April 2024, ordering ByteDance to divest the app by Jan 2025.
2) Delay the deadline for divestiture 5 times! That is 10 months so far.
3) Line up some number of investors, 4,5,6, we are not sure how many, including Abu Dhabi-based state-owned investment firm MGX (huh!) to take over operating TikTok in the USA.
4) License a copy of the appβs algorithm - likely a violation of Chinese law
5) Re-train the algorithm - good luck with that!
6) Set the value of TikTok @ $14B - WWWHHAAATTT - that is way TOO LOW
Sounds like a plan! Finally, we will sign a worthless piece of paper and tell the Chinese government what we are going to do! Ya, this is going to work and protect USA's national security.
