R.E.M. - Chronic Town (EP)

It’s hard to overstate how appealing the Radio Free Europe single was back in 1981, at least to those of us listening to “college radio”.

Then this EP hit, following up on that promise–five more tracks, all great. I played the heck out of my original (still have it)…but this is the recent picture disc, just because.

Did I like Carnival of Sorts (Boxcars) more than Radio Free Europe? I *still* can’t decide.

Both nights of the #REM #ChronicTown tribute shows in #AthensGA and #Atlanta filled my soul. I could, and might, post for days about it.

Here's one of many highlights from the #40Watt show: #DavidRyanHarris. DRH has a long career in several genres, but for this crowd, he will always be part of one of the best bands to get totally screwed by The Music Industry, #FollowForNow.
