1. “My Fierce Ignorant Step” by #ChristosPapadopoulos. A slow build, always in sync, starting with the subtlest of movements to a click track. Both the music and movement grow and recede in energy, reminding me of those birds that move together on land, all necks and legs. It’s giving ballroom with some hip-hop. But it works. The music was just as key as the dancers. Odd lighting cues towards the end though.

des genialen Choreografen Christos Papadopoulos mit dem Ballet de l’Opéra de Lyon gezeigt.
Seine Stücke wirken meist, als seien die Tänzer:innen Teil eines großen Organismus und entfalten eine kaum zu beschreibende Magie.
In diesem Stück bewegen sich die Akteure gleichsam wie Vogelschwärme.
Fantastisch! 👏👏👏
