Me: It's late. I've had _way_ too little sleep. I put up the decorations on Christmas Eve*.

Also me: But I could at least put on the Christmas table runner...

Had a kindy nap while boiled fruitcake mix cooled, then lined the pans and poured the mix in. Roughly divided by my "looks about right" feeling rather than measured out. #food #fruitcake #christmasprep

Making 4 boiled fruitcakes today. Not for me - gifts. So hoping they work out. It's a bigger batch than i normally do (2 at a time). Feel like i've run out of time this year though. And Aunty wants an extra one for her friend (she'll pay for the ingredients for that one).

@paulhellyer My missions are less complex. I have requested the chilly bin be bought down from the attic (done) and dug the cold packs up from the bottom of the chest freezer ready for tomorrow. I have been out and braved the supermarket crowd for the last provisions. I have yet to box up the presents for transfer tomorrow morning and then my prep is done for today.

So, today, so far I have made two lots of stuffing for the turkey tomorrow - pork mince, and chestnut. And the Christmas pudding has began its 8-hour journey on a slow simmer.
