The neo-Gothic high altar of the Castle Church in Wittenberg was built in 1892 during a major renovation. At its center stands a statue of Christ by Gerhard Janensch. The apostles Peter and Paul were created by Carl Dorn, while eight smaller apostle figures were sculpted by Richard Grüttner. The altar gives the church interior its solemn and sacred character.

Der neugotische Hauptaltar der Schlosskirche Wittenberg wurde 1892 im Zuge einer Renovierung errichtet. Im Zentrum steht eine Christusfigur von Gerhard Janensch. Die Apostel Petrus und Paulus schuf Carl Dorn, acht kleinere Figuren stammen von Richard Grüttner. Der Altar verleiht dem Kirchenraum seine feierliche Ausstrahlung.
