To people who have been watching the American fundamentalist movement that became the core of MAGA, this is the same language they've always used, and the same belief they've always had.

Opposition is literally Satan. Opponents are literally Satan. There is no middle ground, there is no neutral, you are either with God or part of the armies of Hell.

I have been screaming my head off for decades about this, particularly as they took over the Republican party.

They both literally believe this, and believe it _literally_.

Having the power to implement their response is the part that's new.
