Chris Armitage seriously needs to open up the comment section especially because he's not a historian but a "Public Policy Analyst, Former Law Enforcement Officer, Veteran, Author."

Not being a historian is fine, but what is not fine is not mentioning his method of research nor addressing survivorship bias. I.e., how does he know that he researched every attempt in history, and how can we verify it?

This makes it all come across as if the dark side always wins.
