@SecularJeffrey @punko In the long run, I don’t think it matters.

In the short run, cutting at the end of the season & leaving the trimmings as mulch & then compost (“chop & drop”) might speed up meadow development a bit, especially with the added effects of seed scattering.

I am no expert, however. Hopefully one will come along & tell us both the right answer.

Spent an hour out there today. Now I'm all sweaty.

Did some of the belated #ChopAndDrop.

Chopped a crapton of #tagasaste to cover the ground. Bought a bunch in for the bunnies. Found a late passionfruit. Dug some #sunchokes up. Gonna try them raw cos I don't really like them cooked.

Still a whole lot of work to do.
