The best part of my work day so far (WFH alone today) has been going out to feed their #Chookesties and see that our Baby (mini wyandotte) has laid an egg after months of being on strike.
And also enjoying all the bulbs peeking out and so many crocuses filling the garden with color.

We haven't had really cold winters. Last winter our second hand water container for their #Chookesties did freeze and crack (but it had been abused much). This year it seems we're having a few days in a row of freezing temps, so we're bringing the water in at night to prevent that.

Someone ran out of toner today. Middle egg should be about the same color as the darker one.

Miss Baby is back in Broody Jail.
I had noticed she had spent about 2h in the nest already, so I went to check, she did the grrr-cluck-cluck so I gently took her out of the nest. She walked a bit, jumped on the log when I went back inside, and 10 minutes later was back in the nest. So I prepared her jail with food & water and sight on her sisters from another mother.
Last time she was in Broody Jail was in November 🙄

Little bit of #Gardening today.
Garden center had herbs on offer (3 plants / 5€) so got three kinds of mint (Moroccan, Chocolate & Orange), two kinds of basil (red & Thai), and dill, and planted them in a tower pot (like this https://www.mygreenhelp.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/Corsica-vertical-garden-Elho-modulare.jpg )
Then rescued a pineapple mint that had been neglected since last year & replanted it (in a pot, of course), and weeded a bunch of nettles.
These join the strawberry plants we got from the CSA for cheap and got planted last weekend in tower pots like the herbs.
Their #Chookesties had a feast pecking ants from emptied old pots.
So, summer time started today.
I am feeling ok, not much trouble with it.
Bonnie, one of our hens, however, got super confused and was standing on the stairs to the coop in front of a closed door when I went out to close their feeder...

We don't have indoor pets (and their #Chookesties are hard to get in for a pic), so from time to time I will show up to the online team meeting for the weekly planning hugging my Ikea Hippo (or Elephant) and waving their legs hi.
I am happy my team is like that :D
It's been a while since these gals featured here.
They're not really amused by the weather. They only came out of their covered run after they saw me (which means they get some scratch feed and bugs).
