@[email protected] I've had someone say to me "But doesn't everyone have to mask at work?" 🤔 hmm... I stopped to think for a moment. As true, everyone puts on their professional face at work. But no. It's just not the same thing. So I explained it: Masking for an autistic person at work is probably more like having to go in to work all day everyday constantly doing an impression of Dick Van Dyke's character in Mary Poppins - just to appear in a way expected by everyone else. Yet, dropping that mask just for a second out of exhaustion, is the moment you do actually look to them like your dancing on the rooftop with a sweeping brush, singing in a very bad over the top London accent.
