Burning Path unveil new single “Take Me High”

Chilean true metal band Burning Path present their new single “Take Me High,” the second track revealed from their upcoming self‑titled debut album. The album, titled Burning Path, will see international release on February 27th, 2026 through Dying Victims Productions.

Burning Path was created in the aftermath of profound loss. The group carries forward the spirit of Chile’s respected heavy metal act Lucifer’s Hammer, whose history changed forever in December 2024 when founding member Andre Adasme, known as Hades, was murdered by a stranger. His brother Rodrigo, known as Titan, faced the difficult decision of how to honor both the music and the memory of someone who had shaped the band’s identity from the beginning. Titan chose to continue the creative journey alongside longtime guitarist Hypnos, but under a new name. As Titan explains, the Lucifer’s Hammer name was retired because no one could ever replace his brother’s presence or the character that defined the band’s sound.

Burning Path builds on the same traditional heavy metal foundation that Titan and Hypnos have championed for more than a decade. Titan notes that the essence remains unchanged, and the new material reflects the same dedication to classic metal that guided their earlier work. The upcoming album delivers a powerful blend of melody, grit, and mid‑tempo strength that draws from the heart of mid‑1980s heavy metal while shaping something entirely its own.

On the album, Titan performs vocals, drums, and guitar, while Hypnos contributes guitar, bass, and keyboards. Together they create a sound that balances intensity with emotion, capturing both the heroic and the reflective sides of traditional metal. Listeners who appreciate the melodic flair of Dokken, Heavy Pettin, Diamond Head, Europe, Witch Cross, Virgin Steele, and the heavier moments of 1980s KISS will recognize familiar influences, yet the songs stand firmly on their own ground.

Although Hades is no longer here, his presence is felt throughout the music. Burning Path serves as both tribute and continuation, a testament to loyalty, memory, and the enduring power of heavy metal.

“Take Me High” is now out, along with the previously revealed single “Chasing the Future.”
