After yesterday's massive downpours, the sun is back out in #Taichung. After checking out from my hotel and dropping my luggage there, I took a hike through the city's botanic garden. It does not compare to the one in #Chiayi, however. #Taiwan #travel #FarEast

My second week in #Taiwan is in full swing. The first week was filled with work in #Taipei. Then I headed for #Chiayi. Did not realize that #Alishan was so popular that trying to get there with public transport won't work without reserving a seat way in advance. So I skipped that plan.
Chiayi is much better than its reputation, though. Lots of #Japan-era buildings, a spectacular botanic garden and better weather than up North. Went full TW-style #food-wise today. Pine apple, danbing... #travel
