The Giants, right now, are pathetic Get swept in 3 by the #Marlins & now lose 2 out of 3 to the #ChiSox; 2 of the worst teams in MLB. 🤦‍♂️

I didn't watch the game but read the box score.

The Giants lost today's game 2-5 but Verlander pitched a great game, giving up only 1 run on 5 hits & 2 walks with 3Ks in 6 innings on 88 pitches thrown.

The problem was that Miller & Walker combined to give up 4 runs in the 7th and the "offense" could only muster 2 runs (1 in the 2nd & 1 in the 5th) which would have been enough to win the game, if the relief staff hadn't imploded in the 7th.

With this 5th loss in 6 games, the Giants (45-39) are now 7.5 games behind the #Dodgers (53-32) in 1st & remain 1/2 game behind the #Padres (45-38) in 2nd in the NL West & are now in 5th place in the NL Wild Card race 1.5 games behind the #Cardinals (47-38) in 3rd & 1/2 game behind the Padres in 4th.

The Giants start a 4 game series vs the #Dbacks (41-42) in AZ tomorrow.

The Giants s*ck again by losing 0-1 to the #ChiSox yesterday 6/28.

Ray gave up a solo HR in the bottom of the 6th but otherwise threw a good game; 6 innings, 4 hits, 2 walks & 6Ks.

Only problem was that he got #MattCained by the Giants' hapless "batters" who struck out 7 times, got only 4 hits, left 4 runners on base & were 0-2 with RISP.

Their only scoring opp in the top of the 6th went like this:

Wisely singled,
Koss singled, runners in 1st & 2nd,
Pitcher balks, runners on 2nd & 3rd
Wisely picked off at 3rd! 🤦
Koss still on 2nd, 1 out
Devers strikes out, 2 outs 🤦🤦
Ramos lines out to CF. 🤦🤦🤦

The #Dodgers (52-32) & the #Padres (45-37) also both lost yesterday. So, the Padres & the Giants (45-38) remain 6 & 6.5 games behind LA in the NL West.

But yesterday's loss also drops the Giants into the 4th spot in the Wild Card race, 1/2 game behind the #Brewers & #Cardinals who are tied for 3rd

Let's hope the Giants can beat the ChiSox to take the series later today.

A big sigh of relief!!! 😶

Doval doesn't give up 4 runs, gets 2Ks & a grounder for the save & the Giants win 3-1 but the win was ALWAYS in doubt.

The Giants end their 3 game losing streak courtesy of the #Marlins & hopefully they can get those 3 games back against the #ChiSox.

the score should be more like 6 or 8 to 1 based on how many RISP that the Giants have left on base. 🤦‍♂️

They can still lose this game & unfortunately I will not be surprised if they do, given the lack of run production & the recent decline in their hitting performance.

Guess they're in their #JuneSwoon mode now. 🤷‍♂️

The Giants (now 44-37) drop 3 in a row & get swept by the #Marlins who had a 31-45 record before the series started & have a 34-45 record now. WTF??? 🤔

The Giants pitchers did this by giving up 24 runs & 35 hits & the Giants "hitters" did this by only scoring 12 runs on 15 hits (5 per game) over the 3 games which they lost by 4-2, 8-5 & 12-5 & have now fallen to 3rd place, 6.5 games behind the #Dodgers (51-31) & 1/2 game behind the #Padres (44-36) in 2nd. 🤦‍♂️

I hope they can do better in the 3 games coming up against the even more mediocre #ChiSox (26-55). 🙏
