Watching my son's swim team practice while I am trying to classify course objectives in the #ESIL learning framework. #ChemistryTeaching #CommunityCollegeTeaching
I run all my problems through the major #AI systems to see how they would respond, which makes it easier to identify cheating. However, I do not use AI to guide or build my materials. I know it makes me a dinosaur, but I think the personal touch when constructing a course is more important than some generic AI problems and presentation. #aiteaching #chemistryteaching #chemistry
We all have that one student. The student that you bend over backwards to help, yet they always ask for more and more in terms of extensions. These students are exhausting. #chemistryteaching
Notable that not a single student I have called out for submitting AI answers has challenged me on the grade deduction. Usually it is very obvious, font changes, very verbose answers with extraneous details, etc. #chemistryteaching
