ConnieAfter shaking off the cobwebs of sleep she sipped her first cup of coffee, then tried to come up with something clever for today's #Chattories. She fell asleep on the sofa watching tv. Around 11pm her 13 your old son came down the stairs, walked thru the living room and opened the basement door. She heard the bulkhead doors open. She looked out a window, saw him go across the street to a porch with his friends. Later when he came back home she peered out from under a blanket and saw him #creep across the living room. She turned on a light then cracked up as he jumped in fear. "Next time let me know if you're going out son"

Her street was snowed in. She woke at midnight and saw an orange glow at her bedroom window. She opened the drapes and saw the house across the street engulfed in flames. Her neighbor was trying to get her wheelchair bound husband down the front steps and her daughter was screaming from the rooftop. Fire trucks had not arrived, could not get through the snow. She and neighbors ran over to help while coughing from the billowing #smoke She brought them into her home to keep them safe.
