"The Bootleg Series Vol. 8" by #BobDylan
It's some 18 years since I picked up the volume 7, so time to continue...
This is a mixed set of recordings apparently without any specific theme. Demos, alternate takes, live takes from several albums 1989-2006.
In summary, just good. "Mississippi", "Everything Is Broken" and "High Water (For Charley Patton)" are highlights.
"Empire Burlesque" by #BobDylan. 80s was tough times for many pop musicians who started in 60s. It's like there was a technology jump everyone needed to participate even nobody liked it. The "80s sound" was dissed already when it was happening. I don't recall similar in 90s/2000s/2010s or today. It would be interesting to read some deeper analysis about this.
Anyway, not a bad album. When press criticized he's mimicking modern music, Dylan said he just listens to #CharleyPatton.
