(Adnkronos) - Il Mondiale 2026 di Formula 1 è partito da appena due settimane e il mondo sembra già essersi ribaltato. George Russell, attuale leader iridato, rimane il grandissimo favorito al volante della Mercedes numero 63 ma, quello che è cambiato, è il rivale al titolo piloti. Secondo gli esperti Sisal, infatti, il britannico deve guardarsi le spalle dal compagno di scuderia Kimi Antonelli, reduce dall'hat trick (pole, giro veloce e vittoria) in Cina. L'italiano, adesso, non può e non vuole nascondersi in una battaglia per il mondiale che potrebbe riservare non poche sorprese. Come detto, gli esperti Sisal vedono sempre Russell favoritissimo a 1,45 ma la quota di Antonelli è crollata dopo appena due gare: a inizio campionato, il diciannovenne di Bologna si giocava a 9,00, oggi vederlo campione del mondo a fine anno è offerto a 3,50. In caso di successo, il pupillo di Toto Wolff stabilirebbe dure record: Antonelli diventerebbe il più giovane iridato della storia (record al momento nelle mani di Sebastian Vettel) e il terzo italiano, dopo Farina e Ascari, a fregiarsi del prestigioso titolo.
Il terzo gradino del podio tra i favoriti è appannaggio di Charles Leclerc, Ferrari, il quale sogna di arrivare là dove è giunto il suo mito Michael Schumacher. Il trionfo del Predestinato, che pagherebbe 12 volte la posta, porrebbe fine al lungo digiuno di Maranello, diciannove anni di astinenza.
I grandi rivali degli ultimi anni, Max Verstappen, Red Bull, e Lewis Hamilton, sulla seconda Ferrari, partono più distanziati. The Italian now cannot and does not want to hide in a battle for the world championship that could hold many surprises. As stated, Sisal experts still see Russell as the overwhelming favorite at 1.45, but Antonelli’s odds have plummeted after just two races: at the start of the season, the nineteen-year-old from Bologna was offered at 9.00, today seeing him as world champion at the end of the year is offered at 3.50. SHANGHAI (CINA) (ITALPRESS) – Andrea Kimi Antonelli vince il Gran Premio di Cina, secondo appuntamento stagionale della Formula 1 2026. Il pilota della Mercedes, che precede il compagno di squadra George Russell, è il primo italiano a salire sul gradino più alto del podio a vent'anni dall'ultimo successo tricolore targato Giancarlo Fisichella. Terza piazza per la Ferrari di Lewis Hamilton, che vince il duello interno con Charles Leclerc (quarto) e conquista il primo podio dal suo arrivo a Maranello. Quinto posto per la Haas di Oliver Bearman, che precede la Alpine di Pierre Gasly, sesto al traguardo, Liam Lawson (Racing Bulls) e Isack Hadjar (Red Bull), rispettivamente settimo e ottavo. Tantissimi i ritiri prima e durante la gara sul circuito di Shanghai. Le due McLaren di Oscar Piastri e del campione del mondo Lando Norris non partono per problemi tecnici, ma tra le assenti in griglia ci sono anche Bortoleto (Audi) e Albon (Williams). Nel corso dei 56 giri alzano bandiera bianca anche Max Verstappen (Red Bull) e le due Aston Martin di Fernando Alonso e Lance Stroll.
