Like yeah, RAM being expensive sucks. I wish I could upgrade my gpu, but its way to expensive right now. Using freshwater to cool AI slop servers is objectively horrible and we should do something about that, but what pains me about AI is the waste of human intellect.
How many good thoughts and poetic writings were wasted in conversations with #characterai or chatgpt and the like? Back in the day, people would have written a fan-fiction on ao3, or had meaningful conversations in some online forum. Now they just waste their intellect talking to an #ai Which will never be moved by your thoughts. Even if it'll remember, it will never act based on what you tell it.

MarcI keep noticing that Character.AI describes men in the same way every time: always “tall”, “strong”, “muscular”, and bigger than women — even when the prompt doesn’t ask for it.
It creates a very unrealistic picture, because real men don’t all look like that.
Has anyone else seen this pattern?
