Our neighbours are so sweet. We got a generous amount of mushrooms they foraged today as thanks for the dill they got to pick freely in our garden during the summer. This will go well with some bread I baked yesterday. 😁

Sourdough fail with a bit of a foraging feast. I don't know what happened but my dough would NOT come together today. So I tossed it in a baking tray and made a 'focaccia' instead. Served with a bit of butter bean spread, avocado, nettle 'pesto', and pickled chanterelles. Things don't have to go according to plan to turn out great :)

Not the most fantastic photo, but today's photo walk in light rain took an abrupt end and turned into a mushrooming walk instead when I found a spot with some golden chanterelles.

Together with butter, salt, pepper, garlic, shallots, white wine, cream and parmesan on toasted sourdough ciabatta they turned into the most delicious meal I've had in a good while.
