Please read, sign and share the petition. I have a friend whose over 20 year residency in the UAE was revoked on March 26 while on vacation to celebrate the Persian New Year abroad. They are at their wits end after nearly two months stranded away from their home. I fear for their health and well being.

Cresce la mobilitazione dei cittadini per salvare il Parco Uditore, mentre la Regione Siciliana interviene per garantire l’apertura nel giorno del Primo Maggio. In pochi giorni, la petizione lanciata su Change.org ha raccolto quasi 20.000 firme, raddoppiando nel giro di una settimana e diventando il simbolo di una comunità che chiede risposte concrete sul futuro di uno dei principali polmoni verdi della città.
La protesta: “Il parco non può essere lasciato solo”
Al centro della vicenda c’è la situazione della cooperativa che gestisce il parco, che nelle scorse settimane ha denunciato pubblicamente la mancanza di risorse economiche e l’assenza di risposte da parte della Regione Siciliana, sia per quanto riguarda i fondi promessi sia per la gestione degli immobili.
Il malcontento è esploso soprattutto in occasione delle festività del 25 aprile e del Primo Maggio, quando il parco – luogo simbolo di socialità e aggregazione – rischiava di rimanere chiuso.
“Parco Uditore non merita il silenzio assordante di queste ore da parte delle istituzioni”, hanno scritto i gestori sui social, dando impulso a una mobilitazione che ha coinvolto migliaia di cittadini.

Citizens’ mobilization is growing to save Parco Uditore, while the Sicilian Region is intervening to guarantee its opening on May 1st. In just a few days, the petition launched on Change.org has collected nearly 20,000 signatures, doubling in a week and becoming the symbol of a community demanding concrete answers about the future of one of the city’s main green lungs.

The protest: “The park cannot be left alone.”

At the center of the story is the situation of the cooperative that manages the park, which in recent weeks publicly denounced the lack of financial resources and the absence of responses from the Sicilian Region, both regarding promised funds and the management of the properties.

Discontent exploded particularly during the celebrations of April 25th and May 1st, when the park – a symbol of sociality and aggregation – risked remaining closed.

“Parco Uditore does not deserve the deafening silence of these hours from the institutions,” the managers wrote on social media, giving impetus to a mobilization that involved thousands of citizens.

Bei change.org kann man sich nicht mehr mit einer E-Mail reg., deren Benutzernamen zu kurz "für das System" ist, z.B. [email protected]. Die Antwort vom Support:

"zur Erklärung: Unser System erkennt möglicherweise keine Adressen mehr, bei denen vor dem @ nur ein einzelnes Wort steht, wie zum Beispiel „spam“, „admin“, „mail“, „info“ oder „user“. mein bester Rat ist, es mit einer anderen E-Mail-Adresse zu versuchen. dann solltest du dich ohne Probleme anmelden können."

Es gibt ja viele Websites für Petitionen.
Welche außer #epetition sind eigentlich sinnvoll?

#Changeorg sicherlich nicht. Hat aber verdammt noch mal immer die meisten Unterstützer*innen!
Z.B. wegen der Honorarkürzungen in der Psychotherapie gibt es über 566000 Unterschriften,
aber es gibt keine Petition bei epetitionen.

Hingegen die Meldung, dass das Gesundheitsministerium die Petition von changeorg morgen auf der Demo entgegen nehme.

@uli1731 wollt soeben unterschreiben mit meiner Mailadresse von meiner eigenen Domain -> wird als ungültige Adresse abgelehnt. So wird das nichts mit Unabhängigkeit wenn nur noch Adressen der Großanbieter akzeptiert werden.

Es geht darum, dass der Vaalserberg (322m ü. NN) in "Monto Zamenhof / Zamenhofberg" umbenannt werden soll.

Würde mich sehr freuen, wenn die Petition ein paar zehntausend Unterschriften erhalten würde :)

Warum? Zur - für mich sehr nachvollziehbaren - Begründung heißt es (Auszug):
"The Vaalsberg, standing at 322 meters, is the highest point in the Netherlands. It is not merely a geographical feature but a symbol of unity, as it lies at the quadripoint where the borders of the Amikejo (Neutral-Moresnet), Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands meet. This location has a unique potential to become a beacon of international harmony and cultural significance if it is renamed Monto Zamenhof / Zamenhofberg / Mont Zamenhof, in honor of Ludwik Lejzer Zamenhof, the creator of the Esperanto language.

L.L. Zamenhof, a Polish-Jewish linguist, invented Esperanto in 1887. His goal was to foster peace and understanding among people of different languages and cultures through a common linguistic medium. Naming the Vaalserberg after Zamenhof would not only pay tribute to his visionary ideals but also reinforce the spirit of global harmony and cooperation.
