.
thank you so much.
.
I first read the Chalice in the ‘80s or ‘90s and again for this project, summer before last, and the new one was a new version, 30 year anniversary, and it was different.
.
The older one said things were lovely, and then men came along and wrested the world from the goddess and the women. “Men,” was the reason in the first one, and the story always stuck with me, but God’s fool Autistic man that I am, “men,” didn’t explain it and hurt my feelings.
.
Of course the academic old boy network didn’t like it either, froze the lady archaeologist and the Chalice out. The new one laid it all on “social models,” as I said. Like much of Allistic science and history, there isn’t neurodiversity.

I’m a very late hatcher, but I knew for a long time there was something different about “normal people,” I just never had the word or the concept of Autism. And I never lost my infantile shock about punishment, I knew it would destroy the world the first time I saw it, and I watched everyone around me grow up and change and accept it, but I never did.
.
There’s a whole short book about the theory, free from my profile. It was based on the #ChaliceAndTheBlade , but I audited that for genetics and neurotype, it was an Allistic attempt, The Chalice, talked about “social models,” and chaos theory. 😇
@StarkRG
.
I don’t think those were my points. I’m not theorizing about the Neolithic goddess monotheism, that’s from #ChaliceAndTheBlade , and there’s sort of a whole school around the pre-fortress world of the Neolithic. I didn’t say it was the original religion, but I didn’t say it wasn’t, I just said it was monotheistic and predates Greece and Egypt and Yahweh
whups, I haven’t identified what the crime would actually be yet . . . hey, what if I go straight to the heart of the matter for a fictional Creator - the crime was we were engaged in self creation, the tower is us, the cooperative humankind building a cooperative human world, that’s “heaven,” in this myth - and ironically would be IRL.
.
Ha. my resistance to this myth looks mad now, this is MY myth, I mean of course I’m with the criminals and I would start another tower immediately. 😀🧐

In the very broadest terms, I suppose I can see a true thing in it, modern people do seem unable to speak to one another, I mean, it’s not just which of our languages, everyone in my life speaks the same sort of English and I have made this observation about them.
.
Their “theory of mind,” and their psychology and stereotyping, all these serve to disable the miracle of language, it’s hardly a miracle if everyone knows not to listen to you, if they already know your universal Human Nature and that you’re unlikely to be speaking truth.
.
And I already thought that the modern type of humans and their gods created one another, so I guess that has to be my take, it wasn’t really that we ever spoke a single human tongue, but we did perhaps speak at all and now not so much.
.
Oh - I think this story of mine makes the Creation and the Fall all the same event, doesn’t it.
.
Took a little longer than usual, but I managed to bring that legend around to my worldview.

Yes!
.
I rewrote The #ChaliceAndTheBlade because the whole theory in it was cultural evolution and no human genome evolution (late edition, the original’s theory was just, “men,” I think), so I reinterpreted it like I said, with it being about the drift of a genetic type. 💜

(I’m very much enjoying this, but I’m way out of my depth, I do a lot of thinking and I used to read, but my data is just the culture, the teevee, my life, I’m very much on the spectrum between crackpot and armchair quarterback. I take the data from the Allistic world and try to reweave it into what seems like knowledge to my neurology, and I think this explains Autistic developmental delays, having to do this with everything, mostly because, “Because I said so,” isn’t a reason and we need a better one for everything. The majority is hypersocial, and so that really is a reason for them, I guess.
.
I see neurodiversity theory backwards, I think Autistics are the forever version and the majority sort are as new as they think people are, like, less than ten thousand years. I’m with that school that started out as feminist, I love The #ChaliceAndTheBlade , the idea of a peaceful Neolithic.)
for meaning, maybe the story’s punishment indicates some sense people have that we’ve screwed up somewhere along the way, but wow, what a weird guess as to how
😠

thinking Charlotte, the previous artist, quit when they picked that work 😈😀

update, I stopped it and forgot the show, and honestly, I’m not getting any traction trying to put the Tower in a context I like, I don’t think it’s even allegorical of anything real, the idea that the people were ever one - it’s pure Allistic fantasy, echoing nothing real ever, I guess.
.
But part of why I can’t bring any thought to bear on it is just the mad ambition of the bloody painting, then and now. I’m starting to fear for this artist’s well being, FFS
