I mean, what is the logical extension of either position: (a) the prison exception was a mistake of the period which doesn’t qualify as legal slavery but should still be repealed (b) the prison exception was a bad idea which allowed for the #BlackCodes, #ChainGangs and other wanton abuses of prison labor to this day like prisoners as barely-paid wild firefighters in #California?
