We have reached the final roundtable of the ‘Power of Laughter. Laughing about Power’ conference at the #CentreMarcBloch feat. David Slucki and Alexandra Oeser, and moderated by Aurélia Kalisky. Huge thanks to both organizers and presenters for such a rich and stimulating conference! 🙏 #histodons
Wonderful to speak about antifascist satire in Fascist Italy, Nazi Germany, and Vichy France, in conversation with Olga Galanova’s paper on political laughter in the GDR, contemporary Russia, Belarus, and China. Sometimes, humor makes the unbearable bearable #PowerofLaughter #LaughingaboutPower #CentreMarcBloch #histodons
Delighted to present my research on ‘Persecuted Satirists: How Anti-Fascist Laughter Could Get You in Trouble, 1922-45’ at the ‘Power of Laughter. Laughing about Power’ conference at the #CentreMarcBloch in Berlin. We even have a box of jokes that is going around! That looks very promising 😉 #histodons

I wasn't able to find a link for this summer school organised by the research centre on environment and society (CERES) of ENS Paris and #CentreMarcBloch but I thought it would be of interest for #ECRs in #envhist #envhum #climhist #biodiversity #natureconservation

Topic : Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Climate and Biodiversity Crises: Historical evolutions, current realities, and future pathways for socio-ecological transformation

The summer school will take place on 11-14/09/2023 in Paris. The summer school aims at providing young researchers with an opportunity to discuss their research with each other, as well as with senior researchers and civil society actors.
