So Google replaced Chat with Workspace on my OnePlus 6T, and Workspace Chat and Email features are TOTALLY broken.

I'm enormously pissed off, of course. But I have one option left to try. I've been refusing to update the OS for about three years now (the phone is seven years old), but if I can't use Chat I'm going to be forced to get a new phone.

Before I do that, I'll update the OS and see what happens. But I think I'll wait until I'm ready to buy a new phone, just in case.

I'd rather get a FairPhone, but apparently they don't work with AT&T. So I may get de-Googled Pixels instead. That's what my son is lobbying me for.

Yawns, "Been up since 2, with a short nap in there. Gotta love falling asleep early because I didn't get enough sleep Fri night, and then waking up early because I went to bed early. Usual stuff going on, but I think I'm going to order a new phone, mine's being problematic, but I mentioned that a few months ago. Weird part, plan was to get another G Power 2025 as I didn't feel like paying $400 for the new 'improved' version, while a replacement of the one I had could be had for $260. Weirdly Amazon has the new one in blue direct from Motorola for $300, while their site has it for $400, dunno what's going on, but I think I'll take advantage of it. Will prolly have to deal with AI on it, but long as it can be turned off, or isn't too obnoxious, its not big deal."

¹ #Trump and co. claimed 600,000 orders but a data breach revealed there were only 10,000 orderers buying ~30,000 phones. the whole thing is just a scam to move money into the trump family's pockets. there was never supposed to be an actual phone; MAGAs who actually ordered the phone are just collateral damage in a #moneylaundering operation not the intended audience.
