Haley cursed as the elevator doors opened. A large expanse, some fifteen metres wide, lay before her, her next elevator at the other end. A throng of people were walking past on their way to stairs or escalators.
All of it was like she remembered.
That other elevator wore a sign that she couldn't quite read. She recognised it, though—the faded red colour, the layout of the words. "Out of order."
That, too, was like she remembered.
