This onion sprout in my kitchen and I was looking for an excuse to take its photo, then I saw the post by #CazimodoCrochet doing a giveaway, so I thought it would be nice to immortalize this onion for it amused me for a moment. Should I say boost please until she picks me or did we leave that behaviour behind in twitter?

Anyway something about sprouting vegetables in the kitchen, without soil or a farming god to urge it to grow, fascinates me.

Good morrow Fine Fedi Folk 💕 I am up early with the parrots today and have just put Ziggy in for breakfast after a very brief cuddle as she is apparently starving this morning. She is very much enjoying her food as all the "Mmm"s and "Goods!" can attest to 😊

Toby is having a Mojo Moult at the moment and is a very scruffy looking chap indeed! I've upped his sprouted seed and am focussed on more protein in his diet to help with all those new feathers that he'll be growing in. I wish I could give him the parrot feast egg food that I have been feeding Jadie during her moult, because her feathers are lovely and shiny, and for the first time since we rescued her (touch wood) she doesn't have those annual bald patches above her eyes and nares. Unfortunately it is fortified with vitamins though, and you can't give an Eclectus fortified food.🤷🏻‍♀️

Grognak and Ethera will be heading back into the Shadow Cursed Lands in co-op BG3 today. I am going to try and play it with a controller so I don't have to sit with a lap tray on my lap as it tires me out doing so. I played a bit of Mass Effect Legendary Edition yesterday using a controller and that worked well. The controller did, not me so much...I find the combat too fast paced and am dead a lot 😂 But it's a series I have always wanted to play, so I'll stick with it.

And, now that @SeaFury finally has her toy and Pete approves 😁, I feel another competition coming on. I'm going on leave at the end of next week for a couple of weeks, so will probably kick it off in early March. Keep an eye out for that one and check out the @[email protected] for her photo of Pete with the new toy.

Good morning everyone 🔆 Late rise for me today. It would have been later as I was sleeping soundly, but Ziggy decided she would contact call until I woke up and came down to see her - and believe me she can keep it up for as long as it takes! The excitement when I came into the living room was just delightful though. There's no greeting quite like that of a parrot who is happy to see you. My heart melts every time 😊 She'a now chewing her plastic links and grumbling away, content that I'm here with her. Connection. It's what true happiness is about 🙂

I woke from strange dreams - not remembered - which were definitely brought on by another long gaming session yesterday in Baldur's Gate. The game has been good therapy for me this last wee while and I've been so grateful for the escape. I'm well into Act III now and actually sad that it will end at some point soon, but I'm already considering the next play through. And of course, there is the co-op session with Ethera and Grognak to look forward to on Saturdays 😊

I will crochet again soon, but getting out of my own head has been really necessary, and even crochet doesn't so it as effectively as gaming does for me.

Good morning everyone 🌻 Late one for me today again, but I have been awake for ages tossing and turning and waiting for Grant to wake up so I could come down and have a coffee ☺️ He's been so kind to take care of the birds the past few mornings and let me game away in the evenings, but I definitely need to give him a break tomorrow as he's looking a bit weary now.

I am sitting drinking coffee with the parrots now, trying very hard to ignore the fact that Toby is trying to get my attention with his ear shattering screech. Honestly, that boy could peel the plaster off the walls with that noise of his! 😂 My sister recommended some noise cancelling earplugs she wears - I think I may need to buy some.

I'm off to the hospital today for two appointments, which of course are at different times far apart. Our car picked up a puncture yesterday so I'm going to have to get myself there and probably stay there for the afternoon waiting for the second appointment, which is annoying. I will need to pack my Switch, a book and some crochet too just to be on the safe side I think ☺️ I don't like hanging around a hospital - too full of sick people, but I don't really have a choice this time so a mask will also be deployed.

Good morning Fellow Travellers around the Sun ☀️ Long lie day for me as Grant is going birding this morning, and a lovely morning he has for it too. I have just poured myself a coffee and the parrots and I are settling down for some Classic FM after the usual chaos of the morning greeting.

I need to do some cage shopping for the girls again as both their cages are showing signs of the powder coating coming off in places. The cages I buy are not overly expensive, so they last about five years before we need to replace them. They are very light though and easy to carry down the back steps to take them outside, which is the main thing. Toby has a much more expensive cage, but it weighs an absolute tonne. Luckily he's easy to pick up and pop into his travel cage to take outside; something that is a mission all on its own with the girls 🙂

I surprised myself yesterday by actually sitting down and updating my website with all the recent makes. And I created a page just for #CazimodoCrochet winners. If any of the previous winners would like me to add your Mastodon handle there just let me know. Happy to push people your way 😊

When Grant gets back we're going for a Bimble around Lidl and then it will be close to parrot playtime once all the shopping is sorted, but I might have time to play a little bit of Divinity Original Sin 2, which I downloaded for my Switch as my stand in when I'm not playing BG3 on my laptop....and okay, okay, I will admit I started a new DAO campaign again yesterday evening...I just had to...have you seen how many new mods are on the Nexus for it now?! 😁
