Simple pleasures, focusing on a small phenomenon. I've got a glass of red wine outdoors in low angle sunlight.
Assuming it's a prism effect, I still can't explain the different red and white shapes to myself. Do I need professional help?

This morning I had a fun moment when I discovered that sunlight reflected inside the dustbin in my office formed a very nice #caustic that is practically the classic schoolbook example of spherical #aberration.
