Fall Foliage at Catoctin Mountain Park
Saturday, October 19th, 2024 @ Frederick County, Maryland, USA
https://www.rovingsun.com/2024/10/19/fall-foliage-at-catoctin-mountain-park-2/

The latest fall foliage report showed Frederick County was at peak. We went to Catoctin Mountain Park to take a look. Peak is not how we'd have described what we saw! After hiking, we drove over to Frederick to have lunch and to take a walk through the small city's downtown area.

Looking forward to some spring and summer hikes- this is False #Hellebore, or #cornlily (Veratrum californicum.) This one is in #NorthCascades #NationalPark in #Washington State but can be found in most wet meadow areas of western mountains but even on the east coast. i have seen it at #Catoctin Mountain in #Maryland though a different species. Poisonous to people and most mammals #Nature #Flowers #Botany
