Catima 2.41.7 is out!
Catima is a small and simple Android app for storing event tickets, store discount codes and more.
2.41.7 drops support for Android 5 due to the official Google libraries dropping support for it and fixes a few small but potentially annoying bugs.

@jonathan859 Nice article. I had very similar experience a few months ago. My only difference is that I'm running this on Pixel 9A.
In order to give some more tips on what to explore next I'd say add @IzzyOnDroid repo to your f-droid install from apt.izzysoft.de/fdroid/

Applications in this repository are official binaries built by the original application developers, taken from their resp. repositories (mostly Github, GitLab, Codeberg), with additional screening applied. Updates for the apps are usually fetched daily, and you can expect daily index updates.

Catima is a simple app for store discount cards, event tickets and more.
This release fixes a regression introduced in 2.41.5 causing the manual barcode selection screen to only show empty squares and makes URLs in card IDs clickable in the "more info" pop up.

Catima is a simple Android app to store event tickets/plane tickets/store discount codes and more in.
Version 2.41.5 is the last iteration of the barcode encoding feature. It removes automatic encoding in favour of deciding encoding once on adding a card (extracted from pkpass files, otherwise ISO-8859-1) and then sticking with that. It also fixes some other bugs.

De QR code van onze Colruyt Xtra kaart die ik in #catima had werkte niet meer aan de kassa.
En inderdaad, als ik ze vergelijk met de code in de xtra app dan is ze verschillend.
No problemo dacht ik, even opnieuw instellen.
Maar de content die ik scan van de xtra app QR code is dezelfde als ik in catima had, en als ik met een andere tool een QR code genereer met wat ik scan ziet die er ook anders uit, dus het ligt niet aan catima.

This builds on the hotfix in 2.41.2 to also fix .pkpass files explicitly stating ISO-8859-1 as format.
It also forcibly sets the barcode format of all existing cards to ISO-8859-1 on upgrade. This used to be the only format supported in Catima, so this reverts any sudden barcode changes.
We may need another bugfix release to get this all right. If you understand UTF-8, *please* join in in https://github.com/CatimaLoyalty/Android/issues/2932.
