8 days post-op. Here's what I've notice

Depth perception has greatly improved. I wasn't aware that this was something that was going to happen. Thrilling.

Noticed font size on my phone is larger than I need it to be.

My distance vision is great.

But also- I'm still healing. Yesterday I noticed weird flashes of light as I walked down the hall at work, everytime I passed under a light fixture.

I have a secondary cataract starting in the eye. Already. 🙄

6 days until the left eye.

A sad day. Next #Sunday we were supposed to be going to the #aoarena in #Manchester to see the Gladiators Live Tour. Alas my eyes are that bad now I’d not be able to navigate to my seat or even see the show…. So cancelled and put the tickets up for sale.

Not good news over the #eyes. Opthalmist contradicting hospital and says new prescription will not help. Only the #laser treatment. Optician is trying to refer me again to just get the one eye laser treated . Fingers firmly crossed. #maculopathy #diabetes #cataracts
