And so it came to pass that we ventured into the dark and stormy night, barefeet and full of despair, to rescue Him, Merlin, Lord of Curious Housecats, who escaped and got chased into the saving arms of a tree by the evil neighbour cat. ‘Twas a rescue earned with blood (by me) and treats (for him). The scratches and scars will forever tell the tale of our love.
