Heute machten wir uns, nach dem #Frühstück, mit dem #Aixam auf ins 70 KM entfernte #Castlebar (irisch Caisleán an Bharraigh, deutch Barrie's Burg), die größte und auch #Hauptstadt des #County_Mayo mit knapp über 13.000 Einwohnern. Gegründet wurde sie durch den Bau einer Burg, von dem #Normannen
#De_Barrie, was auch den Namen erklärt.
