CAGLIARI (ITALPRESS) – Il Cagliari conquista la salvezza aritmetica con una giornata di anticipo. Bastava un punto ai sardi per la certezza della permanenza in Serie A e invece nell'ultima gara stagionale in casa i sardi di Pisacane si tolgono lo sfizio di battere il Torino in rimonta per 2-1 grazie alle reti di Sebastiano Esposito e Mina, in risposta all'iniziale vantaggio realizzato da Obrador. La fatidica quota 40 matura però grazie anche alle parate di Caprile, decisivo nel secondo tempo su Adams, e a qualche errore sotto porta dei granata. Per la prima grande occasione da gol degli ospiti bisogna aspettare il 30′. Dopo aver dialogato con Vlasic, Simeone calcia da posizione favorevole trovando però solo l'esterno della rete. La rete del vantaggio granata è solo rinviata. Il merito è di Obrador che realizza il primo gol in Serie A con un grande destro dalla lunga distanza che toglie le ragnatele sotto l'incrocio della porta difesa da Caprile. Il duello si ripete al 74′: un rinvio sbilenco di Zappa si trasforma in un assist per Adams che al volo a botta sicura trova di nuovo l'opposizione del portiere sardo. Nel finale c'è spazio anche per il grande ex Belotti. Un giocatore in più di sacrificio per cercare di far respirare la squadra di casa. C'è tempo però per un ultimo brivido allo scadere: Simeone non riesce a battere a rete su un rigore in movimento, ma le proteste dei granata sono tutte per un presunto tocco col braccio di Folorunsho in area. The Sardinians only needed a point for certainty of staying in Serie A, but in the last home game of the season, Pisacane’s team surprised Torino with a 2-1 comeback victory thanks to the goals of Sebastiano Esposito and Mina, responding to an initial lead by Obrador. However, the crucial quota of 40 was achieved thanks also to Caprile’s saves, decisive in the second half against Adams, and some errors by the Granata in front of goal. For the first big chance for the visitors, they had to wait until the 30th minute. After communicating with Vlasic, Simeone shot from a favorable position, only finding the outside of the net. The Granata’s lead was only delayed. The credit goes to Obrador, who scored his first goal in Serie A with a powerful shot from long distance that knocked down the nets. The Cagliari reaction was immediate, and was entrusted to Sebastiano Esposito, who from the edge of the area created space to shoot and unleashed a right-footed shot that ended up in the corner.
