#CarylChurchill's #FarAway is an unnerving, claustrophobic and paranoid hour at #FourtyFiveDownstairs tackling big themes with blisteringly spare dialogue and a quartet of actors (and many, many #Hats). Churchill really is one of the best contemporary dramatists. It was everything I love about great theatre - an oblique narrative that portrays a blasted contemporary landscape and society, a stunningly rich but intimate production from #Patalog with the luminous #AlisonWhyte and a terrific group of actors. (And not a dancer in sight!)

@drreznicek People fought #HS2, bitterly; lost. The archaeology is great, I admit. I wonder if they found fragments of mirror? Reading this made me want to look up one of my favourite scenes in Light Shining In Buckinghamshire by #CarylChurchill , where a woman is looking into a piece of broken mirror. 'There's an even bigger mirror that we didn't break. I'll show you where. You see your whole body at once. They must know what they look like all the time. And now we do.'
